Guate has been very busy the last few weeks preparing for our biggest event of the semester, Semana Santa!! Tomorrow evening, in the Macmillan Hall Great Room, a presentation (with traditional foods!) will be held describing some of the Holy Week traditions in many different Hispanic countries. It’s going to be a fantastic event that we have all been looking forward to this entire semester. Guate also has a few upcoming bake sales over the next few weekends and even a fundraiser through Insomnia Cookies! There are many things to be excited for as this semester closes out!
As spring semester is moving along, Guate is getting busier and busier! Thursday evening, April 3rd, Guate will be participating in ALAS’s Cesar Chavez bread breaking ceremony, and just two weeks after that (April 17th) is the big event of the semester, Semana Santa!! It’s our biggest cultural event of the semester, as well as our biggest fundraiser. It will be held in Macmillan Hall from 5-7 and all are welcome and encouraged to attend. Guate is also hosting a few bake sales and a fundraiser through Insomnia Cookies near the end of the semester, so stay tuned for more info on those!
