My name is Erin O’Neal, and I’m a junior International Studies and Latin American Studies double major with minors in Spanish and History. I’m currently Fundraising Chair of Guate Bonita, and have been involved with the group since my freshman year.
After a year as an exchange student in Argentina, I came to Miami bitten by the travel bug and haven’t stopped since. I spent spring of my sophomore year in Luxembourg, and travelled to Cuba over J-term – a once-in-a-lifetime trip that I was so excited to be a part of!
This past summer I was an Undergraduate Summer Scholar and had the opportunity to research the gaucho as a historical figure and pop culture icon in Argentina, and was finally able to return to one of my favorite places in the world.
I am really proud of Guate Bonita and how the organization has grown in the last few years. I can’t wait to see what great things we do this year and in the years to come!
